Charlotte & Matt - Engagement Shoot - A walk through the Gardens of The Italian Villa
Efficiency is always desirable. When it comes to Photographing an Engagement Shoot nothing is more efficient than coupling the shoot with a visit to the venue. So that’s where I found myself on the sunny Saturday just gone. At the venue of Charlotte and Matt’s upcoming wedding. And what a venue! Italy is one of my absolute favourite destinations. I’ve seen Lake Como, the Isle of Capri, Mount Vesuvius and the gorgeous coastline of Sorrento. The Italian Villa absolutely captures the feeling of its name sake. It features beautiful Italian inspired architecture in its building, but the highlight is really the gardens. Immediately outside the building is a stunning courtyard with a large water feature and fountain, beyond the initial courtyard is a maze of wondrous gardens that you’d need to spend hours in to truly appreciate. If you find yourself with a free day and the sun is out then you could do a lot worse than to spend your day looking through these stunning gardens.
But anyway, I digress. I could talk about this venue for hours but that’s not even the main point of this post!
After viewing the building and talking plans and logistics. Me, Mathew and Charlotte made our way into the gardens to take some pictures.
Stepping in front of a professional photographer who is also a relative stranger to you can be massively nerve racking. But these two absolutely killed it. Of course being a pair of absolute 10’s obviously helped their case!
I always say if you suffer from nervous laughter then absolutely run with it. Nervous laughter is still genuine laughter, and genuine laughter translates so well to Photographs.
But that’s enough of my babbling, let’s see the pictures of these two knockouts
